I suspect that Edmonton needs to push for an early lead and a quick followup to stand any chance. coach is going to put Kuraly, Chara, McAvoy against their top line, let Bergy crush as many other lines as possible, relax knowing the other lines match well over theirs. it should be a fun and quirky one.

Bruins power play percent at 40% is a very welcomed surprise so far early in this season. Thought we haven’t had many opportunities really like what gryz has been able to do at the point on the PP. hasn’t resulted in many points but he’s been doing a good job of cycling the puck.

Pretty sure Edmonton swept Bruins last year.Do not want to be Debbie downer but Bruins better be ready for that Oilers top line because there is alot of speed on it.Chara better not be pinching when they are on the ice.

Because this organization has shown over and over and over again for the last 5 years that they have no problem giving David krejci fourth liners. It's not really any different than then Tim Schller, is it?

This team deserves to lose by putting Nordstrom on the second line. What a stupid move.

Nordstrom with 2 goals and an assist :sarcasm:

I think it would be beneficial for Donato to sit a game and see things from a different perspective, ala DeBrusk last season. In my opinion, I don't think he did much during the preseason to be handed a spot in the top 6. He looks very comfortable and creative in the offensive zone, but he needs to work on his game at the other end of the ice. So I'm not against sitting Donato in favor of Nordstrom. Will Nordstrom stay in the top 6 all game, probably not, but it's worth giving him a shot. The Bruins can always move Bjork or Heinen up with Krejci. Cassidy has at least shown that his lines during games aren't necessarily set in stone if things aren't working.

This will be the first regular season game that I can watch from the comforts of my living room sofa so am looking forward to it . I would like to see Debrusk , Heinen and Bjork all score tomorrow night so they can get rolling .

    Where the **** is Donato?

Put Bjork on 2 and Donato on 3 lines, whatever let's see what happens.

I'm fine with Donato out. But...Nordstrom? Second line? This makes me nervous...but I hope to be proven wrong tomorrow.

Not sure who I'd slot in the second line. Call me a maniac...but...uh...maybe Acciari? I really, really want to reward him for that AMAZING hustle he had on Monday.

Yeah, if I were to do this, I'd definitely have plans B, C, D, and E lined up, because Acciari's not really a second liner. I'm just spitballing a solution that would wreck the lines as written as little as possible...

Please bring rick Nash back if Nordstrom with krecji this is unreal. Krecji ain't a spring chicken anymore and needs capable goal scorers. This is crazy. I'm shocked.

Donato can sit, if they truly think it will help. But Nordstrom on the 2nd line after being scratched, what the hell. Bruce talking about how he's been on skilled lines before, so he'll be able to handle it now, is a stupid reason to put him on the 2nd line. Who cares if someone else put him in that position before, he's not that type of player. It's a complete waste of development time for someone else, and you scratched him last game, how can you think he deserves a 2nd line shot.

Game hasn't started yet, so he can change his thinking, but his reasoning is messed to me. If you truly think Donato should sit bring someone else up in for a skilled role, Nordstrom should fill in for bottom 6 only.

I am sure Krejci is just thrilled to have Nordstrom on his line and Bergeron is jealous.

Saying this, pumped for the game. Oilers are very unbalanced, Bruins should be able to expose them.

Of a jetlagged bottom 10 team that has only played 1 game this season and has one line that's even remotely considered good?

It is early yet into the season, team was split at training camp so still testing players in different areas. Nothing new here, let’s wait til games after 10-12 to see where every one settles in. Giving everyone a chance with Krejci is a good idea, to date no one has stepped up but only three games in. Of course my preference for RW with Krejci would be Simmonds, but not sure it will happen.

Well yes somewhat.. Schaller has 12 goals last season while Nordstrom had 2..I have NO idea why he sits out one game and advances to 2nd line next game. Geez, was his name picked out of a bag or what??

Cehlarik has zero points in 2 games and is tied for a team worst -3 in Providence right now. Only 2 games but not really like he’s shown much that deserves him to be called up.

Go Nordstrom! After shooting 2.1% and getting 7 pts in 75 games last season I feel like Nordstrom is ready to have a big time year on the second line. No need for scrubs like Donato, Bjork, or Cehlarik wasting the time of DeBrusk and Krejci. Nordstrom is where it's at when it comes to skilled top 6 players. Hope he gets lots of goals tomorrow.
