Statement game for Fortier. We saw it last season with Colton who jumped a few players. Don't wait for "your turn." You get a game, you get a chance, make the most of it. Fortier did tonight. There's a number of reasons this preseason battle should be between those 4 older prospects from yesterday's game, but as Lalonde said today, they're not going to give it to someone just because. Let's see how some guys respond tomorrow now.

Didn't watch the game. Fortier made an immediate impact in Syracuse when he first got there but then cooled off a bit. He's going to make the Lightning one day and be a solid player, he just isn't ready yet. He needs to go back to Syracuse and show it for a full season, needs more consistency to his game. Took Raddysh and Katchouk 3 seasons to finally show their worth, I see the same with Fortier.

As for Cajkovic, the kid has all the skill in the world. It's between the ears that needs the work. If he can go to Syracuse and do what Groulx asks of him, learn to control his emotions, then I think he's got a shot of being a top 6 candidate in a couple of seasons.

Loved Fortier when I saw him with Moncton. Crazy fast at the junior level. Kind of played like a poor man's Brayden Point, IMO.
