Was maybe lost in the moment yesterday, but what a move by Stephens to go past the Dman in the boards to then set up Verhaeghe for his 2nd of the night. Beauty!

That duo has been looking better and better. Gourde seems to complement them really well, which is interesting, because he's the guy displaying the least amount of skill on the line. But that's a good thing. He's always better when his linemates are more skilled/creative than he is, leaving him to do the dirty work, but also not superstars. He's never been good next to Stamkos or Kucherov.

As an outsider who is this guy and what are your expectations for him?

He's been slow to adapt to the NHL. The jury is out on whether he'll be a regular in the AHL's scoring race or a regular in the NHL. He has a good skillset, but it took him a while to put it to use. I would say the past 4-5 games or so are where he's started to show he can be effective at this level.

So I guess, really, we're not sure yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on to score 50ish points per year for the next few years, nor would I be surprised to find out he can't keep an NHL job.

I havent used these softwares for a long time and im rusty, so its not perfect or great .. but the point gets across.

The fact that this will only be seen on a little Lightning forum is a G*d damn shame.

I laughed out loud like 9 times.

Although once was when Rutta was very casually trying to pull the Canuck's head off and had nothing to do with the dialogue.

Using too much energy, should've stopped after 4 - won't have legs for the playoffs.
Nah I think we should've lost this one. We've won way too much recently. No way we go past the 2nd round now.

Some +/- curiosities from last night:

Shattenkirk wound up with a +4 and 0 points. Sort of impressive that he was out there for so many goals without picking up a point.

Hedman of all people wound up -1 in a 9-2 win.

Not that I'm surprised but our top-10 player Alex Killorn played the most of any forward last night at 18mins, 2 more than the PP specialist and defensive liability Stamkos and Kucherov.

Led the AHL in points last year.

Long-term, I think his ceiling is a marginal 2nd-liner. He's good enough to play in the NHL, but my suspicion is that the key (but not only) reason he made the team out of camp and has stayed up all year is that he would have to pass through waivers to go back to the AHL and we think we'd lose him. Lately he's been looking like he belongs.

You guys think I should play Killorn over Foligno today?

I have Kuch, Point, Hedman, and Serge in my lineup. One dude in my pool is a hold out on Stammer. Won't trade me anything for him.

I'm gonna guess this went okay. :p

Can you heal him?
While Rutta's nodding

Eh didnt know how else to play it had to set it up with the star wars bandaid comment and cut out the baby yoda stuff.. if you watch that footage without the stops he gets told something says OK and keeps nodding over and over and then later on he just looks over to serg and purposely down like some robot. And its more of a play on the fact he is super human and Cooper and Co just assumed he could do such a feat cos of who he is. (I also dont doubt for a second he couldnt do such a miraculous feat imo just quietly)

Hey everyone! If someone has a link to a FULL replay of this game, please message me. A certain site does not have it. My brother is a burgeoning NHL fan, and I want him to see this exciting game.
