But, alas, the sample size is too small.

definitely. but can i just reiterate? this loss is entirely on the shoulders of Erhoff. he needs to get his **** together.

and seeing Stafford out there trying as hard as he can to be as mediocre as possible. i've never seen a player work so hard and yet be so mediocre.

Will fix everything
We still have our compliance buyouts :D

I just decided to see what our team would look like next year if we used both complaince buyouts . Too bad there are no UFAs to spend money on next summer

Let's hope, he is ideal. Our youngsters will have another year of development, we just need an elite scoring threat. That MacKinnon kid looked pretty strong last night with some no looks assists in his first game. If we finish low this season maybe we will finally have a chance to get elite offensive skill. Reinhart has 10 points in 4 games, Draisaitl has 8 points in 4 games, Nick Ritchie has 5 goals and 7 points in 4 games, also Nylander up there playing over in Rogle.

I thought Ristolainen looked pretty solid in the ending 2 periods, anyone disagree?

He was pretty good for a rookie D after his early jitters including the early turnover that led to a Wings goal. Tough way to break in as a rookie defenseman on the road against an excellent and very experienced Detroit team. He'll only get better from here.

Hypothetical.

If Sabres trade Vanek at deadline for a 1st rd pick in 2014 and Miller for another 1st or 2nd round pick, it would be really something if the Sabres did tank and had a lottery pick.

We could be looking at three 1st round picks and three 2nd round picks including the #1-4 overall.

Add that talent to the current stock and we could have an amazing foundation. Or bundle those together to make a move for a legit top line scorer. :naughty:
