Anyone notice all the empty seats at Honda Arena for the Ducks playoff games? Lots of orange towels on the seats that are empty sort of emphasizes it.
One of my fondest Stars memories is going to the 2009 Stars/Ducks game one there. Fans were not particularly knowledgeable. Perry runs across the ice, hits a Star a mile from the puck, gets called for interference. Lady next to me says, "Shouldn't be a penalty, he didn't hit him as hard as the Stars hit our guys." She later called me the most obnoxious man she had ever met for explaining such things, and of course, rooting for the Stars. Of course, had I been a bandwagon Ducks fan (they were heavily favored) and spent over $100 for my first Ducks game, I would be pissed, too.
Stars won something like 6-3.
