Has he been a healthy scratch this season? Was there a particular injury that slowed him down or has he just lost his legs?

I will murder a Penguin if they sign Kunitz.

More than likely a human being affiliated with the Penguins than the actual animal.

Chris Kunitz would not make any playoff team better.

How could anyone possibly still have this idea? He's 39 and scored a grand total of 1 point in 17 games the last time he was in the playoffs.

Had a great career but the guy's below replacement level at this point.

Kunitz is a fit on Calgary more because of the 4 cups than anything. A young team who has only 1 experience of being out of the first round could find his experience very valuable for a mere 5th round pick and to draw in every third game

My guess any team that deals for Kunitz will be for future considerations or a young player on the last year of his ELC with no future in his current organization. Just a matching contract to stay under the 50 allowed.

Every year some over the hill veterans get traded for more than they should to add grit and playoff experience, so sure, it could happen.

People are underestimating the value of being a winner. That experience is valuable, even if it's just as a 13th forward. You're in a game 7, and have nothing left to give, you have someone to call on. If I was a playoff team with a playoff inexperience (Calgary, Columbus, Colorado, for team's that are in a spot right now) I'd pay a 7th, maybe see if I could get a little retention.

Consider? Maybe.

Easily find a better player available on every other team in the NHL? Undoubtedly.
