The only thing i like about there mock is callum booth being in the top 10. The rest of it is pretty questionable IMO

I'm fairly high on too but he's apparently playing the NCAA card. Not sure how serious he is with it . Hopefully we get to watch him play in the Q. I heard Saint John want him but I can't see them taking him that early and he'll be gone by #17. I could see him being taken by Gatineau or Val D'or.

First four are no surprise, after that's different.
I see callum booth go #12 with Rouyn-Noranda. Gatineau & Val d'Or could take forwards first. Sprong #6 in Gatineau. And #5 could be a surprise.

"NCAA card" is being overused these days.

This is exactly what happens when you let kids like Nathan MacKinnon, Max Domi and company dictate where they're going to play. Kids start thinking they're entitled to going to a certain team in the CHL.

At a certain point teams have to call their bluffs and let them walk if they're going to be that way. CHL is starting to promote that a little with the new compensation rules.

Note: I'm not saying anything bad about the kids who actually want to go the NCAA route. But to use it as leverage to play on a certain QMJHL is garbage

Apperently he's "leaning towards" that route instead of major junior.

It's not just Booth lol there's like 5-10 players this year and it's been increasing every year for the last while.

Way to go Eric Lindros :sarcasm:

Oh yeah, pick on the kid who played prep in the States :)

Booth should be considered a long shot to report right now.

haha Mr. Nathan Noel #1 = picking on the kid who played prep in the States

I definitely don't think he'll go in the first round unless a team like Quebec takes him knowing he'll report to them but even then why waste the 1st round pick if everyone is scared off?

Should be interesting

I don't understand your joke, but I each of the top 3 have hinted at NCAA and I think all three will be picked 1-3.

I thought you were being sarcastic tbh

I said that the NCAA card is being overused in the QMJHL, 5-10, maybe more, players are using it this year and few have any real interest in going the NCAA route, they're just saying it to go where they want in the Q. I said it wasn't just Booth and somehow you said I was picking on the kid who played prep hockey (I thought you were being sarcastic there) which is hilarious because I've been saying Nathan Noel #1 all year and he has played prep in the states for a couple years now.

I was making a joke because you singled out the kid who probably has no interest in the Q :)

Although TBH, I don't consider Shattuck to be a prep in the same sense. Salisbury is where guys go to ECAC from. Shattuck leads to the CHL usually.

I see him going that route unless he's in a good situation.
He's actually a dual citizen (Great Britain) and his parents came over to Canada so that has mom could work at McGill (currently works at Université de Montréal), so they may value education more than the average family.

haha Mr. Nathan Noel #1 = picking on the kid who played prep in the States
Noel has visited at least North Dakota, but he seems more willing to commit to the Q.
