So many of the best moments in the McD era was a Kassian moment. As a psycho-type enforcer he played his role well. Too bad like most Oilers we can’t ever take advantage of the value that players presents cause we have to overpay to keep them. The moment Kass got paid he stopped helping the team and became a huge detriment.

I wasn't thrilled with him coming here after how he rearranged Gagners head, so took awhile to warm up. There were good and bad points here and I ended up defending his play a fair amount.

Was really surprised meeting him what a nice guy he is. He's somebody that will just stop and talk and smile. Really down to earth in a way that not every player is.

Happy Retirment Zach and what @Ginger Papa said.

Sorry, posted elsewhere, but want to add it to Zack's tribute thread.

I have a lot of time for Zack Kassian the person for finally turning his life around and for channeling his rare toolkit of size, skating and functional toughness as a role player in Edmonton. And on a team that was lacking quality support help. He became a good teammate in Edmonton after being a lost soul who squandered solid gifts. He also reflected the strength of Edmonton - organization and community - to embrace, nurture, and help to realize another second/last chance player to succeed and thrive.

Best of luck in retirement Zack!

I was really happy for him when he was able to rebuild his life and find a home with the Oilers.

A force when he played his physical style. Loved the rivalry with MT.

Hope he’s able to fully recover from the concussions he received & has a long and healthy retirement.
Haven't seen you much around here this season, maybe YOU are the missing piece!

2017 playoffs was probably the highlight of his career. Not a great fighter even though he looks like Tyson Fury. lol.

P.S. did not realize he played almost 500 games as an Oiler. Crazy.

Loved his play even though he noticeably declined in his latter years.
