Wtf? Barbie? What is so special on this movie?
Barbie is inventive; it's got a great look; it takes a potentially nothing subject and does something interesting and unexpected with it; it makes good points about gender roles and assumptions and about misogyny; and its approach to its narrative is cunningly subversive.

It's also legitimately funny, I laughed out loud multiple times.

So my theatre time is pretty freaking limited with two young kids.

Top Movies -

1 - The Holdovers
2 - The Killer
3 - Killers of the Flower Moon
4 - Oppenheimer

Really all I've seen released this year worth noting. Haven't gotten to Napoleon, Past Lives, or Poor Things, which are really the only ones out that really interest me.

Top TV

1 - I Think You Should Leave
2 - Beef

Aaaaaand that's about it. I normally watch old shit. ITYSL is the only reason I still have a Netflix account, but honestly really dig Beef.
