I don't know how Zherdev, Horton or Bergeron (and Staal) can be considered prospects when none of them are even rookies anymore.

1. Alexander Ovechkin
2. Sidney Crosby
3. Kari Lehtonen
4. Evgeni Malkin
5. Thomas Vanek
6. Jeff Carter
7. Jack Johnson
8. Dion Phaneuf
9. Milan Michalek
10. Ryan Suter

If Staal is considered a prospect, he's either 4th or 5th. I love his game. Best all-around player from the 2003 draft, regardless of Bergeron, Phaneuf, Fleury, anyone.

Although I have him behind Zherdev in my prospects list, Staal will be the better all-around player. Zherdev the higher scorer.

Oh, I know. I love Staal, (in the manliest sort of way), but I just can't consider any of those 4 guys prospects when they've all played at least 50 pro games. But yeah, I'd agree, 4 or 5 depending on how you value goalies.

That's because there are a lot of better prospects.

I don't agree with that at all, but seeing as this is a losing battle, I'll let his play speak for me this year.
