One "source" idea...The fact that players were mentioning the change, do you think it could mean it was prompted by the players?

This is an outlandish suggestion and there’s no reason to assume it happened.

Why wouldn’t players mention a change made by coaches?

You need practices to make these changes. The staff started implementing this after the All-Star Break with healthier players who were rested and recharged.

We had a pretty packed schedule in January with a lot of away games, plus all the guys out with injuries.

Not saying I’m thrilled with coaching job all year here but we had Tierney/Dowling/ Lazar/Hischier at center at some point in late January.
