We played an awful lot of games where we dominated for large chunks and had nothing to show for it over the last few years because we couldn't score.
We are owed a few ugly ones
I couldn't do it regularly. If you do, more power to youWelcome to my life watching in Germany at 1am while my girlfriend is sleeping next to me
Should have IR'd Palms and called up Blandisi before the road trip. Just to have more options.
even with how poor our D has looked at times, we're still 10th in GAA allowed at 2.82
Umm, I'm not the one saying Edmonton is a fast team when they aren't so I have no idea what you're talking about.
There is no need to watch crappy feeds no matter where you are in the world, if that is what you are putting up with?Welcome to my life watching in Germany at 1am while my girlfriend is sleeping next to me
Sounds like I missed a pretty bad performance from everyone except Schneider and Hall.
BTW, Hall has 11 points in his last 6 games.
We didn’t play great but some of the reactions here are overblown. I wouldn’t call it a bad performance.
They IRd Palms and activated Boyle
Yikes, massive oversight on my part...
Did he seem to slow that line down?
No. He got gassed, but that was expected first game back. But he provided some good sound defense and faceoff wins like we hoped he would.
You can argue that he hasnt even started putting pucks in the back of the net yet, Likely he tapers off but I wouldnt be suprised if he is closer to 70 than 60
The Edmonton game is going to be a Loss with Hall having his worst game of the season and Larsson scoring a goal because that's how these things tend to go.
I know the Canucks aren't a good offensive team, and they'll undoubtedly be near the bottom in goals scored this season, but last night shows that Cory plays well when he does play, and that it's not the '''Defense's fault'' when he plays bad. Because let's be serious, the defense/team defense did not play good last night.
If he plays at a .920 all year, that's like acquiring a #1 defenseman, that we didn't have last year.

It is very true. This really isn’t true at all. The team for the most part played well in their own zone both blocking shots and cutting down the shooting lanes allowing Cory to use his superior positioning to take care of everything else.
37 shots on goal isn't a strong defensive game.I thought the team played a very strong defensive game. They were in the right position and blocking tons of shot. Meanwhile, any rebounds that Cory gave up were taken by hte devils and cleared out of danger areas.
They turned the puck over constantly, Hall was the only forward skating and they struggled to pass the puck which led to them constantly defending.
Playing in the defensive end for most of the game (as we did last night) is not indicative of a good game played.Shot totals isn’t the end all be all of a defensive grade. Not at all. That is such an outrageously simple way to look at a game and is divcorcrd from actually watching it.
