Welcome back from an unnecessary week long break, but it's time for Devils hockey once again!

Whoever thought a week long layoff in October was a good idea needs to get their head examined

That said, our boys needed a break to heal up and get ready to continue their onslaught!

Last time we saw Ottawa:

Me waiting for the Devils to play again

I don't like that third line at all. What is it supposed to be? A checking line? Why is Zacha on a checking line? A scoring line? Why are Hayes or Gibbons on a scoring line? Swap out Hayes for Blandisi and I think that line makes a lot more sense.

When you look at Gibbons career, he's really not that bad. He doesn't have a long NHL career, but he has 27 points in 74 career games. 5 of them came this year, but he had 22 points in 66 games before this year, which isn't bad for what he is. That's a much better rate of scoring than the so called ''3rd liners'' we've had over the past several seasons. He's over-achieved this year, but maybe not as much as I previously thought. It's not like the guy doubled his career total NHL points in these 8 games.

He's also a pretty good defensive player, much better than some of the other so called reliable defensive forwards of the past several years. I'd already say he's an upgrade on about 75%-80% percent of the bottom 6 players that we've had over the past few seasons. He's better than Hayes, at least at this point in time, he is.

It's good to see the team playing again after a week off. Ottawa us a perfect team to start with they have a least two of their scoring threats out.

Go Devils

Interested to see if Zacha plays more assertive tonight since he’s obviously the most offensively talented on his line.

this game should really be the Snowflake Edition, given yesterday's discussion.

Do not sell them low. Sens are a very well coached team and they still look solid. They bitchslapped the Flyers last night.
