I was wondering what people's draft board is, now just 3 months from the draft, there is not much more opportunity to move up drastically.

This is how I see it based on uneducated guesses I see around, I would apprectiate it if people could go further than this. Perhaps some of the more educated people can go a while with this.

1. Erik Johnson
2. Phil Kessel
3. Johnathan Toews
4. Michael Frolik
5. Peter Mueller
6. Jordan Staal
7. Nicklas Backstrom
8. James Sheppard
9. Bryan Little
10. Bob Sanguinetti

My draft board is pretty similar.
If the Pens were to have first pick as they sit in the standings right now here's my board.
1 Erik Johnson
2 Kessel
3 Toews
4 Staal
5 Peter Mueller
6 Frolik
7 Sheppard
8 Backstrom
9 Little
10 Tlusty

Frolik is a wild card. I could see him going as high as four, but doubt it with some of the thoughts on him floating around of late. He could fall as far as ten as well. Most seem to have a top tier of two or three, in the order that you have them. Then that next group. Personally I think that Kessel has been slammed a bit harder than he deserves. Less than six months ago he was widely praised and had been anticipated as the clear top of his class for how long? At least a couple of years. I always am very wary of drops those last very few months before a draft, usually because one one lack-luster week at WJC's. True Kessel did not dominate this year as well, but he did pretty well none the less. I truly think that though he likely will fall to two or three when people look back, who pick either one or two and pass him, they will regret having done so.

Edit: A reminder of what had been said of Kessel less than half a year ago:

1. Phil Kessel, C, Minnesota (WCHA), 6-0, 190
Scout's Take: "He is to this draft what Ovechkin and Crosby were the past two years. This guy is a turbo-charged rocket with explosive speed, great quickness and a big shot. He shows the kind of offensive firewagon hockey I have not seen since Kovalchuk."

I'm a bit intimidated by that remark about 'educated people' but I will blunder ahead anyway. I like your list

1-3: the same
------------------------------------------------------------
4-7: Same guys but I might put them in this order. Tough for me to differentiate between these guys, but if pressed this is the order I would choose.

Backstrom (seems to be performing at the highest level now)
Staal (Mildly worried about suggestion that he isn't "putting it all together" despite having "all the tools" :D)
Mueller (A bit of unknown (to me), but recent digging has convinced me that he and Staal are neck and neck)
Frolik (Worried by the lack of clear success, same as most people. But still intriguing)
------------------------------------------------------------
8-10
Sheppard
Brassard
Little

Red Line and others have made me wary of Saguinetti. :)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Williams and Okposo are next, on my board.

I think the wildcard will be somebody in the top 10(that is not picking top 2) will want a defenseman and knock everything out of order

it's not a mock draft, its a draft board. There's no way we're going through the top 15 picks and only 1 defenseman being taken

I'll admit that some of these guys I don't know too much about - I borrowed some rankings from another guy, and was researching a mock draft of my own. Then realized I lack the info...

However, somebody asked for greater depth, so here you go. I have a fairly good idea of what #1-#20 approx. are like. But, as always, these things are a crap shoot so please be kind...

Notes:
I was at game four between Barrie and St. Mike's this week, and came away very impressed with Bryan Little: very fast, great hands, and resilient as well. But he looks so tiny out there, that I figure he will drop a little. You know what GM's are like. Eventually, I think Little will make some people cry that they didn't take him.

I hesitate to put a Russian (Vishnevisky) in the first round, what with the transfer agreement problem. But I'm guessing that whoever wins the cup (if they own their own first rounder) might be feeling lucky. And if someone else owns the 30th overall pick, then they might be willing to take a chance.

Not really my draft board, but rather a blended average I keep of sorts combining McKeens, ISS, Redline, CSB and Youngguns.
