The Jets start off the weekend by playing the host Vancouver Squad Friday 8 th at 730. ( 530 C.D.T.)

- Does the Poolman play? How's his recovery from surgery going?

- Who are the free agents asked to fill out the Jets team?

- Niku should be playing, but what about our 2 newest Finn forwards from the 2017 draft?

-Strong at center with Harkins and Spacek.

- Our 3 N.C.A.A drafted D-Men from 2017 draft will be ineligible to participate.

- Hopefully that leaves.

Niku.....Poolman
Stanley....Green
Gawanke.....xxxx

McKenzie - Stallard - ?
Beauvillier (AHL) - ? - ?

Niku - (Poolman)
Stanley - Nogier
Kulevich (AHL) - Green
Dienes (AHL) - Gawanke

Vesalainen is in Finland.
Virtanen will be playing in the USHL, he might want to keep his NCAA eligibility intact.
Need a few forward invitees. Maybe they let Connor play.

None of our European based players have participated before so it's doubtful any partake unless the plan is to come to North America to play. Another question is if they will have Connor and Roslovic play again. They bother where at camp this summer so they may dress them.

Connor - Roslovic - Spacek
Lemieix - Harkins - McKenzie
Stallard - Appelton xXxX
No idea on the fourth line

Stanley Nogier
Niku Poolman
Gwenke Green

Appleton played on a line with Connor and Rozlovic at prospect camp.

I do not think that they will dress Connor for this tournament. He has all ready played 21 N.H.L. games and has excelled at the AHL level.

This would be on the early side of recovery from Poolman's surgery. 4-6 months and he had the double surgery done in April. Don't know if they'll be rushing him back into full-contact games in early September...

I don't believe Connor should play but I also don't believe he should have been at prospect camp either so that has given me some pause with regards to rookie camp.

A young stars tournament would make him ineligible for NCAA? Why in the world would that be a thing. A event which exists for prospects to show the team what they're capable of shouldn't be a thing that NCAA players can't attend

I think if they pay their own way they can go??

The team can't be paying for anything for the players.

NCAA is idiotic about quite a few things.

I think it's because it's considered a pro camp. But it is a silly rule.

Professional teams paying for players' transportation, room and board? Why, it would defile the purity of amateur athletics! :sarcasm:

NCAA is such a joke in every way possible
Last time I checked none of the athletes is getting a dime meanwhile NCAA is swimming in money like the rich duck from Donald duck.

Inside knowledge or guesses? I feel like they would still put Roslovic in, they've done it before with players that had played a full AHL season. Very interested to see Appleton in this tournament.

Much more interest in watching the D and G than the F on this prospects team.

Combination.
Roslovic is a chance invite, but not certain on it.

Aye, same as well.
Some of the invites that I've heard rumoured are interesting... which is a first for me for the Jets and this tournament.

Scrooge McDuck. He's like the best character in that whole anthropomorphic animal universe.

Anyway, this is far from the most ridiculous stance by the NCAA. That organization is something special.

I use to find this tournament interesting but I have to admit most of our talent is in the NHL now so I don't have much interest in this line up. Guys like Niku and Harkins will be playing for the Moose which is in town now so there will be lots of chance to watch the few guys that might make the Jets one day.

NCAA is idiotic about quite a few things.

It's a huge hypocrisy, given the profits that schools make off the backs of those athletes.
