I feel like we're about 18 month away from having more G.D. defensemen than we know what to do with. I'm not trading anything of much value until we've gotten a look at some of these kids we acquired in camp and see what we have. I would trade Zuccarello at the deadline if we're out. I'd pick one of Spooner or Namestnikov and move him at the draft for a pick or picks. What I would really like to see is a situation where a team who wants to grab a guy in this year's draft in the late 20 range trades their first next year for the pick to get him.

Just draft Dobson/Bouchard/Boqvist. We can get other picks for our guys. I don't get why people want to trade Zucc for a young top 4 guy. Zucc won't get you that unless it's someone without high upside. Just get picks and fix our winger issue and I'd also look to high upside guys instead of safer picks

If Ottawa miraculously lands Dahlin and keeps Karlsson, I'd look at a Spooner/Ceci swap. Both RFA's. Spooner is from Ottawa (so is Ceci lol) and if we landed Dahlin that would put Ceci in the bottom pairing which is kind of a waste. He can be a very good 2nd pairing guy if you give him a faster PMD on the left side (played way better with Chabot as a partner than he did with Phaneuf).

Ceci is almost a full 2 years younger as well. Maybe some late picks to balance it out if needed.

sorry to burst your bubble but no way Calgary does this imo. Namestnikov isn't a top line winger which calgary needs, and he's not a right shot either. I dont think he's a very good player either, his numbers were just ok playing with kuch and stammer. No interest in him, especially for a great prospect like Andersson who will be playing on our third line next year unless he is packaged for a true top line winger
