Rumor: Yegor Yakovlev to New Jersey

According to reports in Russia, Yakovlev will be signing a contract with New Jersey. I know very little about him other than that he made the Olympic team over quite a few good defensmen including Nikita Tryamkin. I expect he will be starting the season with the Devils, what should New Jersey expect with him? 2nd/3rd pair puck moving defensmen, 7th defensmen, AHL defensmen?
