On my computer and from far away I hear a higher frequency “yammy” but when I put the phone speaker next to my ear I hear a lower “laurel”

I’m a professional drummer and timpani player so my hearing is totally f***ed however.

First time I heard this it was clear as day "Yanny" (shouldn't it be "Yanni"???)

But it's been clearly "Laurel" ever since. It's actually bizarre
