Glad Ouellet cleared - that is great news for the Habbies. Lots of D-depth.

I'm a tad sad about losing DLR to waivers, but realistically chances are he is not a gamebreaker. But I liked rooting for him.

As for Scherbak, the sky was falling when the Habs traded Galchenyuk, the sky was falling when the Habs traded Subban, the sky was falling when the Habs traded Jiri Sekac, the sky was falling when the Habs traded Jerabek, the sky was falling when the Habs took too long to trade Patches, etc. etc. Now the sky is falling when the Habs lose Scherbak. Note to Habs fans: The sky is not falling.

Scherbak looked good for a few stretches last season, but so did Daniel Carr. He was pretty sub-par at training camp and never played well enough to get in the lineup. If he learns to implicate himself consistently, move his feet all the time, and play a 200-foot game he will probably be a decent top-9 forward. If not he will be a depth forward. That's what waivers are for. Good luck to him in LA.
