I always liked Raffl as a depth scorer. I could see him flourishing with Washington.

He's winding down as a useful NHL player and apparently has been hurt all year. As a Flyers fan, I always liked him, he was a 4th liner who could play higher in the lineup when needed. Well liked in the room it seems also.

sorry to see Raffl finally leave the Flyers, he's been a bright spot relative to his salary and expectations for many many lean years in Philly. nothing too special, but he has more than held his own in NHL, never took many penalties, had some success being played way too high in the lineup at times, no drama.

and the pride of Austria, the hockey community there absolutely revere him there, as is proper!

Raffl was with Philadelphia for 8 seasons and played just over 500 games with the orange and black, he was always game wherever he was in philly’s lineup but his career is on the downside as his ice time has dropped to the Flyers younger forwards.

The last time philly made the playoffs Raffl was actually fairly decent which could come in handy for Washington if Raffl can work through his injury troubles he has had this season.

Raffl was a guy I thought would be a good pickup for any team. He would be cheap and provides solid play when he’s out there. He’s the perfect depth guy for a run.

Looks like it'll be Raffl or Sprong battling it out for the 12th spot. Always liked Raffl's game and think he's a smart pickup for depth.

Hopefully the Rafflcopter still has some fuel in his tank for you . He was one of the few bottom six lunchpail type of guys that was worth a damn over the past few years.

He had been playing with it and we old hears about it once he was traded.

No idea what it is. I am sure the Caps are looking at it that they can afford to rest him to get him 100% healthy and ready for when the games really count.
