Thats a HUGE Steal for Caps!!! One of the biggest steals during this agency IMO. After Shultz, a lot of fans blamed MacLellan. But he killed it with TVR and this signing

Great deal. You'd have to think it hard for Oliver Kylington to argue he's worth much more than this, helps the Flames for sure.

It's not a steal.. more like expected.

Depth players coming off of ELC's with no arbritration rights have zero leverage on a 1 year deal.

Normally you just don't see these type of players signing one year deals because multi-year bridge is still relatively cheap, but given the circumstances multi year deal is not an option for the Caps. Im sure they would've still preferred that. If he takes a step forward now they have to pay immediately.
