Simple question, standard tournament format.
Would you rather win the bronze medal game or lose the gold medal game
obviously losing gold means you got a silver.

*disclaimer I am aware that 2nd is better than 3rd but winning bronze finishes on a high vs finishing on a low*

Interesting quesstion. Winning Bronze does at least finish on a high note. You get that celebration. Winning Bronze would be more of a memorable moment, but less rewarding overall. I think what it comes down to is would you rather remember that game where you won and advanced, or remember losing and winning bronze afterwards?

In that moment win Bronze since ending on a win will feel better than losing. Looking back on it later though losing and taking solve repulsive look better.

Why would you rather be 3rd when you can be 2nd

Indifferent, they're both mediocre, toss a coin, could not care less and I mean between the two, obviously they're both preferable to being last or something.

I'd rather win Bronze. Reason: doesn't feel like much.

Losing Gold feels like losing. So close, yet so far.

Either way you didn't win the tournament so it probably feels better to win a consolation prize rather than lose for one.

This is stupid. In what world would a team rather finish worse than they did.

At the end of the day when you look back at the placings, Silver is obviously better. However in the moment that game is over, which team is left disappointed? That's the premise here.

Over time I think that the players that loss to get the silver will be happier about it then the players that won the bronze.

Being 2nd is still better then being third.

Lose gold.I much rather see my team in the final in the first place. Bronze games are a disgrace in my humble opinion, I hate them.

I'd rather end the tournament on a win. Voted lose gold by accident.

In the game, and the day after the game I'd rather win bronze.

6 months later, reflecting on the tournament, I'd rather be holding a silver medal in my hands.

Bronze final is lame. Two out of contention losers playing each other.

The question is almost like: "would you rather lose in the semis or in the final?"

This is a dumb question. Would you rather make the Stanley Cup finals or lose before you get there?

Dumb answer. It’s not the same because the point of the question is is it better to lose in the final round and go out on a low note or win the best of 2nds final round and go out on a high note.

It would be like if there was a Stanley Cup B finals for the teams that lose the conference finals, would you rather win that or lose in the SCF.

In the immediate aftermath, the bronze would feel much, much better. In the longterm, silver would be more satisfying. It'd take a while to get over losing in a gold medal game, though.

Depending on the tournament really. If it was the Olympics I'd take silver any day. Some tournament that I don't really even care about? Bronze probably.
