Just curious about this years WJC. Who is eligable and who would play if they could. With the lockout still looming could we see guys like Fleury, Staal, Horton and Phaneuf suit up for Canada. And guys like Zherdev, Malkin and Ovechkin for Russia. Not sure about ages, or AHL commitments, but this could make for one sweet tourny if all these guys play.

Fleury, Staal, and Zherdev aren't elligible.

Only 85 birthdays and later.

If the NHL isn't in session, does anyone have the rosters for the US, Russia and Canada(since I figure these are the only three teams with any players that would be playing otherwise)?

For Canada: Bergeron, Horton and Burns are the only NHLers (from last year) who are eligible. IF there is a lockout, many juniors who would probably make their NHL teams are Phaneuf, Coburn, Getzlaf to name a few.

Russia, Malkin and Ovechkin are both eligible

for the US, Suter fits the Phaneuf/Getzlaf category.

I'm looking forward to watching Robert Nilsson for Sweden and Andrei Kostitsyn for Belarus. Malkin will play for sure not sure about Ovechkin.
