well, not in this thread. This is more meant as a thread where visitors can get an overview over the tournament, schedule & rosters etc.
Rosters will soon be announced so I assume there will be plenty of new threads popping up. :)

What is the system in quarterfinals?

Is it:

North American Division 1st vs. European Division 4th etc.

or

North American Division 1st vs. North American Division 4th etc.

What do you guys think, does time diffrence between Europe and NA affect to Swe,Cze, Fin and Ger. Cause now there`s so little time between games. Like there is a game Sweden vs. Finland on Sep 4th and Sep 6th is quarterfinal 1. Two days between those games. Is that enough to get used to time difference?

I will probably go to Cologne too, it's just a 4-5 hour drive from Munich. I already watched the exhibition game Germany-Russia in Landshut in 1996. It was quite funny to watch all the NHL players. I was even thinking to spend my airmiles and travel to Toronto to watch the Russian games, but the tickets are too expensive and I don't want to watch a RSL team coached by Tikhonov get destroyed by Canada 10-0

Team USA training camp is here in Columbus, plus the arena is hosting two exhibition games with Canada and Russia against the US. Should be a good time and hopefully I can get some tickets to the games.

I cant wait for the world cup with the looming lockout being held over ours heads. I think in all fairness Captian Mario should have been left off the team roster. The aging superstar has one injury after the other and gretz should have invited vinny lecaliave instead. But other than that Canada Will retain the gold once again.

I'm pumped. I have two tickets to both of the exhibition games. I think some of the practices are going to be open to the public too. It'll be cool to swing by the Ice Haus for lunch and watch.
