That guy hasn't gone again, and they're in the 7th round, right?
Brown has been picked by Pittsburgh with the 228th pick (8th round)
Yup, first pick of round 8.
Somewhere in New-York, Woodlief is jumping up and down like a little girl watching her favorite morning show.
USA Today quote from Kyle's column:
Now, after a terrific freshman campaign at Notre Dame where he became the No. 1 netminder within the first two weeks, a lot of teams wish they had listened to Red Line last year and taken a flyer on him.
That's right, Kyle. Teams wish they had listened to you so much, they actually waited to the crap rounds to select him :lol
I feel exactly the same way. I know organizations get stubborn on a guy, but to suggest that they spent the last 12 months kicking themselves over one guy HE liked is kind of silly.
And now, in order to save face, he has to call them idiots again.
Well, he will certainly gain a lot of followers if this guy ends up becoming a starting goaltender for the Penguins! :whoa:
I think it was a good pickup for the Pens. He may not be as good as Woodlief thinks he is, but he's certainly worth an 8th this year or an 9th last year as a flyer.
