Should be a great game.
I have the Czechs as the favorite to win the tournament actually.

Prediction: 4-2 Czech Republic

Although it was only one game (against Canada), I think it's evident the Finns will have some problems scoring in this tournament. I think the Czechs will pull out a 3-1 victory.

If the Finns can get themselves together and generate some chances, they'll have a shot, but Schwartz is supposed to be a pretty good goalie!

Czech Republic 2, Finland 0

3-1 Czechs. Finland, goaltending aside, can't compete with the Czechs in almost any area. They'll make it interesting and make the Czechs think, but that's about it.

I predict a 3-3 game! This will be an entertaining game!

Olesz 1g & 1a
Fleischmann 1g & 1a

Jalasvaara 2a
Bergenheim 1g & 1a
Immonen 1g & 1a

Should be a close game. I think the Czechs will edge them 2-1. This would set up a huge game with Canada on the 31st to see who wins the group.

It looks like Olesz has both.

Good Finland. I thought they would win.

Good call, you even got the score right.

The game broadcast ended in Finland about 10 minutes ago. Some notes:

- both Czech goals were flukes, especially the first one. A bit like the one Russia scored last year, except Toivonen was also screened on the play.

- Finns played much better than against Canada, you could say that we were on our normal level.

- our powerplay sucked, we really could've used a right handed shot on the blueline. Atleast we got the tying goal (Lepistö slapper from the blue line)

- Finland's first goal should've been awarded to Varakas, coz he was the last Finn to touch it (according to Töykkälä). All credit shoud still go to the Czech d-man who put it into his own net.

- the gamewinner we can also thank a czech d-man for. Careless play behind his own net, Bergenheim poke checks the puck towards the goal, Filppula pokes it in before the goalie knows what's happening.

Overall, a deserved win for the Little Lions. We were closer to a 4th goal inthe 3rd period than the Czechs were of an equaliser, though they did get a couple of good shots before the end.
