Started this thread in 2014/15 when McDavid and Eichel faced off in the tournament. There was a lot of interest in that tournament specifically because of that and many other draft eligibles competing. Last year was a little more dull, as there wasn't as many draft eligibles playing and it was considered a weaker draft. This year is a bit of a different story with a stronger draft and the likes of Dahlin, Svechnikov (hopefully), and Zadina competing. And all of Canada, USA, Sweden, and Finland with some seriously strong teams with Russia and even Czechs not too far behind. Makes for some exciting and unpredictable hockey.

The Hockey News has the Gold medal odds like this: USA 3-1, SWE 4-1, CAN 5-1, RUS 6-1, FIN 7-1, CZE 15-1 (IIRC)
I think:
USA Gold
Sweden Silver
Russia Bronze

Group A.
USA.
Finland
Canada.
Slovakia.
Denmark.
Group B
Sweden
Russia
Czechia
Switzerland
Belarus

QF1.

Switzerland (4B)
QF2
Russia (2B)
Canada (3A)
QF3
Sweden (1B)
Slovakia (4A)
QF4
Finland (2A)
Czechia (3B)

SF1
USA
Russia
SF2
Sweden
Czechs

Gold medal game
USA (winners)
Sweden
Bronze medal game
Russia (winners)

for pure entertainment value I'm hoping for a Canada v USA gold medal match up. It's the best hockey to be had anywhere. Finland v Sweden for the Bronze. I'll pick the Swedes.

Canada Gold
USA Silver
Sweden Bronze.

Let's hope that's the way things unfold.
