I'm not sure how Sweden picks their World Championship squad but if the Marlies end up losing early in the AHL playoffs, would Nylander have a shot at the National Team?

I'm not sure how Sweden picks their World Championship squad but if the Marlies end up losing early in the AHL playoffs, would Nylander have a shot at the National Team?

Generally AHL players don't get invited. I can't see why Nylander wouldn't though, but he's probably gonna have to perform in the pre tournament games.

Id like to see W.Nylander in the worlds. Could be a "joker" in the deck.

He should make the team, but swedish coaches dont like young players.

I think we'll see a Euro based / young NHLers team considering World Cup is in the summer. So I'd say yes.

The coach already said he was interested in William when he was over scouting players just recently.
Marlies are favourites to win the Calder this year so I doubt they make an early exit, team is pretty stacked. But who knows? Stranger things have happened.
