Who is getting Matthews PP time while he is injured?
Their #1 power play line has been Bozak, Kadri, Marner, JVR and Rielly all season even before Matthews was hurt. So Babcock has done some adjusting with the Matthews power play line that featured Nylander, Marleau, Brown and whatever the lines have been since his injury.

Nice that he was even in the discussion and came so close. He and Nylander and Matthews have been dynamite at 19 and 20 years old. Just wait until they're 22-23. We'll be having "will he crack 100 points?" discussions.

Marner will hit 70 points next season if he plays a full season. It's coming. He just needs to find more consistency earlier on in the season.

Maybe he got some bad advice for his summer training, and took him some time to get him going?
Should reach it next year, if he has a pylon like JVR so Marner can bank in his passes using JVRs stick =D

Next year, if he plays like he did the second half of this season, he's pretty easily an 80 point player. He was elite in the second half of this season.

From 60's to 100's. Best 60 point trio in NHL history!

The last "60 point trio" to do it their very first two years in the league, was Dale Hunter and the Stastny brothers, way back in 80/81. So it is, in fact, a pretty rare feat.

And yes, with the talent level these three have, the 100 point discussions are coming.

Yay.

:)

Slow down your horses there bud. Matthews is the only one who has it in him to score over 100. Marner and Nylander are almost a known commodity at this point who will be PPG players who'll flirt with the 90 point mark, possibly reaching it for a few seasons. 90 points is no joke, that would put them in 10th place in points for this season ahead of the likes of Crosby, Ovechkin, Stammer.
