The Minnesota Wild, lacking in depth in their forward ranks, signed 2 players off their prospect list; one young, one not so young.
First, they signed 27-year old Jon Sim to a 2 year deal. Expect him to be the 13th forward for this year.
Then, they signed 2003 2nd round pick Patrice Bergeron to a 3 year deal. Bergeron will start out on the 4th line, but he has the potential growth to play with the 1st line, no doubt.
3 other prospects may make HFNHL debuts next season. Skilled fowards Matthew Lombardi, Alexander Perezhogin and Robert Nilsson have GM Greg Dockus very excited for the future.
