While they are chickens not ready to be counted, NY is still LD deep w/prospects Lindgren, Rykov, Hajek and after next season, Day; Rangers are thin on the right.

According to capfriendly, you pick 24th in the 1st.
Rangers have TB, which cf lists as 29, could fall back slightly if they reach/win SC finals.

homeboy LD Skjei + W Buchnevich [upcoming season his last elc] + TBL 2018 1st
for
Dumba
Wild 2018 1st a few slots earlier at 24OA
+ 2019 Wild 1st

rationale:
Skjei - Dumba different strengths but ballpark comparable value
Buch > delayed 1st likely to be late
swap of picks a few slots offsets dif.

Suter was injured but when he goes Skjei is a nice successor
Rangers get RD they need

some small gambling all around but worth the risks

As soon as I see the name Dumba I stop reading. Dumba is not on the trade block. Period.

If Chuck starts throwing away future 1sts I offer to personally drive him out of town and leave him there.

I've said it before but I'll say it again: the only way that trading Dumba isn't a mistake is if the other team is making an even bigger mistake. This isn't that trade.

If the Wild are looking for snipers and RHD then it seems like Carolina would be a good match for a hockey-trade. Jeff Skinner and Justin Faulk are two likely candidates for a shake-up deal. I could see Carolina being interested in any of Coyle, Brodin, and Niederreiter.

Sure, you wish.
Skinner and Faulk? I raise you...Ennis and Foligno.

What is the point of this?

I think Faulk and Skinner are too like the players we're looking at trading to be appealing as acquisitions, but they're not Ennis and Foligno.
No, but they are two players most caniacs want to get rid of.
I picked my two favourites.
Of course they are better, but we could offer a pick or two.

I don't get it? Raise me?

Past 3 Seasons Combined:
Age GAPts
Skinner 258972161
Faulk 264159100
Foligno 26313869
Ennis 28162945
[TBODY] [/TBODY]

Skinner has significantly more goals than either Foligno/Ennis have points.

Love me some Skjei butter but his value isn't particularly close to Dumba's

1. Keep Parise and eventually put him on LTIR. Bad situation but buying him and spending the money stupidly elsewhere would make it even worse.
2. Deal Staal. He only has next year on his contract and would bring back an awesome return. If you're not going for it next year he has to be dealt.
3. Also trade Coyle
4. Sign a few stop gaps to deal next trade deadline.
5. Deal Ennis next deadline if you can get anything for him.
6. Be open to trading Spurgeon and Koivu if a team is willing to pay a high price.
