Wichser injured by Stumpel

Havnt seen it..but if this is true he should have gotten a Major and a game misconduct. This is the 2nd time his type of injury has happened in the past 2 months with the stupid door being opened on the bench..if the puck is around then KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED for crying out loud.

Havnt seen it..but if this is true he should have gotten a Major and a game misconduct. This is the 2nd time his type of injury has happened in the past 2 months with the stupid door being opened on the bench..if the puck is around then KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED for crying out loud.

The door was open because Wichser was no longer involved in the play, sliding (not even skating) toward the door when he got checked from behind. That should have been a match penalty, not a game misconduct.

That said, congratulation to Slovakia who rebounded well from its 5-1 defeat. Switzerland's 1-0 lead after the first half of the game could be used as a benchmark for highway robery.

Should have closed the gate.

Go over the boards.

Maybe they should have a rule that the board doors don't open unless play is stopped (or the player is too injured to climb over the boards).

A comment from the swiss head coach Krueger on this fact:

"To hit a player when the puck is in the corner, I would have thought that it was worthy of a major penalty. We've probably lost Wichser for the rest of the tournament."

The puck was in the corner when Stumpel hit him. He was unlucky the door opened cause if it wasnt open, he would have just have been hit hard against the boards but with the doors open, he caught the rim of the doors with his hip.

SUI still scored on the PP from that penalty though.

crack of the hip is the injury from Adrian Wichser. He's obviously out for the tounament.

I hope that the comittee open a investigation vs Stumpel. I like Stumpel but with this failure, i 'm unhappy with him.

Wichser had already given the puck away down low and turned around to go out and Stumpel still finished his check even though the puck was not there anymore and he saw the gate was open

Typical act of frustration and definitely deserves a match penalty
