I'd like for those Cowboys in Stillwater, Oklahoma to win this conference. This might be their best shot, they also don't have to go to Norman this year.

Isn't mayfield gone? So is the coach. I don't see how they win. I have tcu before them right now (but I haven't looked at their roster im assuming they didnt lose a lot)

Edit: nope he's not. But I still have osu winning

Something tells me OU takes a step back this year (meaning they're just arguably the best team in conference rather then clearly the best) and it's wide open.

Is this one of those years where Oklahoma State is good. It seems like every 3 or 4 years they emerge at the top, get to #2 and then plummet back down the list for the next 2 years

This might be the best shot at getting to the playoffs. Texas is a year away, OU breaking in a new coach, TCU and W.V. and TT are young and green. K-State is K-State. Baylor still has talent but is woefully undermanned.

OU is breaking in a new coach, but I think in that situation it's someone who is already familiar with the program and the kids. Have seen a lot of coaches overachieve in their first year as well. Although they do have to go to Stillwater.

Midseason update, standings are below:

TCU doing so well is surprising, and Baylor being this bad. I think TCU ends up winning the conference.

Iowa State at 2-1 with a win over OU is the real stunner to me. TCU doesn't have much of an offense but their defense is solid. I think they win it as everyone else will be dropping off via attrition. Though they're not world beaters by any means and will likely finish with a loss or even 2. Could easily have lost that WVU game.

It's almost impressive how bad Kansas is. Gunning for the all-time road losing streak, not making it past their own 35 yard line until their 15th drive last week, etc...

I don't think much of their head coach, but I think they do need to keep him no matter what through the rest of his contract if for no other reason than continuity of recruiting. Bare cupboards of talent have really done the jayhawks in the past 5+ seasons.

Yeah tcu probably wins it. Just need to win one tough game I think and they might not even need 2?

Oklahoma State has three tough games left
