Who will be the first canadian drafted in the 2018 draft?

2018 NHL Draft | HockeyProspect.com says none will go in the top 10, with Ty Smith going 11th. ISS Hockey says Joe Veleno at 7th. Future Considerations seconds that motion. Mckee thirds that but at the number 8 spot.
I think that Ty smith should go somewhere between 5th and 8th, but Veleno will go in that spot because of the hype on top of him.

Veleno could go very early for teams who need a sure-thing centre. Smith, Dobson, others have been excellent and could easily climb in to top 10 and top 5 by the end of the year. Guys like McIsaac and Merkley could jump back to preseason top 10 rankings with reasonable improvements. Way too early to know, you could see no Canadians picked in the top-15 or five in the top-10 by draft day.
