This is going to be the answer for a lot of people, I think. Him and Barzal. For just normal keeper leagues, not dynasty leagues, Barzal was probably not on most radars.

My steal was getting Jake Allen in like the last round. Goalies are normally coveted in my league, but he fell for no real reason. Him and Clayton Keller. Keller is a keeper, and I got him super late.

I took Rantanen in the 20th round of my auction draft (out of 22) for $1. Then about a week or two into the season (when he came back from injury) I grabbed Marchessault from FA.

Dynasty league, I'd been toying with the idea of dropping W Karlsson all last season as a bust. Am I ever glad I held onto him now.

$500 budget auction draft, I got Hall and Barkov for $19 and $5 out of a budget of $500 which turned out to be insane value, and Hall is now one of my keepers.

I also got Kucherov for $109 which isn't really a "steal" but in retrospect compared to Crosby at $136 or Kane for $126 it was a pretty reasonable price to pay for the top forward this year.

I somehow with last waiver priority picked up Kopitar on waivers 3 weeks into the season and then traded him and Keller (also grabbed off waivers) for Gaudreau. So basically I got Gaudreau for 2 waiver pickups.

I got Couturier off free agency for one, and I got Nick Suzuki 21st overall for a prospect draft in a different one.

Also grabbed Voracek 80th overall and I was very surprised he was still there.

You're kidding, right? Ovi fell to the 49-56th pick range? Wow! I know that I had him pegged for regression, but as one of the best LW options for the past 5+ years in a standard league, how does he fall that far?

Edit: I figured him for 30G, 20A, 10-20 PPP, 60+ PIMs and 150 hits. Still worth a 3-5th round flier in case he bounced back, I'd be a tad let down if all he did was repeat last year's numbers. And hot damn, has he ever bounced back!
