Sweatt's just what the doctor ordered. A very safe, reliable performer who has second line upside. The Leafs need to stay far away from malcontent Russians, mystery Swiss, and bogus high schoolers.

They need someone with offensive dynamic.

Unless someone in the top 10 drops out.

Pretty much the same thing than the Habs :

    The best D-Men available
    The best Center available

    or

    Moyarov.

Angelo Esposito if he falls that far. A huge Boom or Bust pick.

Zach Hamill would be an excellent pick up, and am hoping the Oilers snag him with NYI's 1st.

Leading the Dub at 17 is no small feat. If this kid was 3 inches taller, he would be a sure-fire top 10 pick. He is out-scoring some big names prospects such as Hanzal, Burki, Setoguchi, and team mate Mueller.

Defenseman and Centers are two thing's we don't need.

    We need bonafide scoring wingers.

Honestly if i were the Leafs and have the chance to select Esposito i would do it. In MY eyes he is a winger.

Why take a boom bust prospect in the first round, there are plenty of those guys available in alter rounds. Take the best player available.

Ideally, a scoring winger, and if not, the best player available, no matter what position.

    My preferences are as follow.

    1st Round:

    1. Maxime Mayorov (questions marks regarding transfer agreement)
    2. Oscar Moller
    3. Joakim Andersson
    4. Ryan McDonough
    5. Billy Sweatt

    2nd Round:

    1. Michal Repik (If available)
    2. Jeremy Smith
    3. Mark Owuya
    4. Joel Gistedt
    5. Jason Gregoire

    If we keep the 13th

    Esposito
    Moller
    Hamill
    Andersson
    Mayorov

Its these 5, or bust. and please, no Gillies...

  23. That's what we don't want.

I don't particuarly care if a player is a "safe" pick. I need a guy with big-time offensive upside, safe pick be damned.

I like Sweatt, but not at #13.

  24. I'd love an Espo pick. Boom-or-bust is the way I like to draft. Take a chance on a guy with dynamo potential.

    Please don't pick Esposito.

There'll be ten pages about it in each newspaper here :sarcasm:
