Doug Hoover, a friend of my parents, use to play pick up games with some of the Sabres when I was 11/12 yrs old. When I was 13, I wore a pair of Danny Gare's skates with the Blades. I also have a Bob Sauve game goalie stick he gave to me in late 78 after a game against Montreal.

I played football for Payne Jr. as a freshman, but gravitated to hockey full time after that. Used to play Ives Pond, Memorial pool but really anywhere we could find ice.

i winced a bit when they acquired Kane, hoping that he would keep his nose clean, but... they really did not give a lot to get him, so i am not too disappointed.

i really like Reinhart, Eichel, RR, O'Reilly, Lehner, Larsson.

Thanks for stopping in--great to see the Sabres/Isles fan relations are continuing to mend! A good rivalry is a beautiful thing, but things definitely took a nasty turn around here, and it feels like that's in the past.
