I want to say Nashville... If johansen can be as good as he was last playoff, then I have very little doubt

I don't think there are any other options except for Nashville and the Leafs. Will make for an extremely interesting matchup in the finals.

Nashville appears to be the absolute favorite HF wide, expert wide, league wide... so I'd say it's anyone but them... but I do think it's them... or do I?.. I do.

There's potentially seven 100+ point teams out West. A number are getting healthy or hope to get healthy. Whomever gets out of the West will have earned it.

The Pacific is going to be a dog fight.

Contender rankings to win the Stanley Cup:

East:

1. Penguins
2. Maple Leafs
3. Capitals

Lightning and Bruins just don't have it in them. Penguins are ahead of the pack, but energetic Maple Leafs can rival them and the Capitals are due some puck luck.

West:

1. Predators
2. Jets
3. Ducks
4. Golden Knights

After the Predators and Jets, the two best teams in the league, have battled it out in the second round, there will be a chance for either Ducks or the Golden Knights to advance from the WCF.

The Caps are here to burn your village. If not...oh, what the hell, they’ll just go hit the links again.

In the west Preds and Jets. In the east Lightning, Bruins and Penguins. What sucks is that we are probably going to get a clash of Preds/Jets and possibly Lightning/Bruins in the 2nd round. Those should really be conference finals.

It is still Pittsburgh’s Cup to lose until I see Sullivan/Kessel/Murray on the other side of the handshake line.

there are about 6 teams with an equal 10% chance of winning the cup. the remaining 11 teams split the other 40% chance. it's literally a crap shoot.

Who ever wins round 2 in the Central. Nashville scares me, but hell I dont think you'll see a better series all playoffs then WPG and NSH in the 2nd round.

Nashville and Pittsburgh are the teams to beat. Winnipeg, Boston, Tampa are close though.

Pittsburgh, LA and Boston all know what it takes to win the Cup.
These teams (minus Chicago this season) are the only Cup winners going back to 2009.
I'll give these teams the been there done that favourite benefit. Then I'll throw in Nashville.
