Personal preference...the Starskie isn't made anymore, it's called the Dolomite now and both of them were Inno 1100. Both are pretty high end sticks so some like one some like another. The word is the SL is a tad fragile.

I went through about 6 SL's in a couple months. Synergy SL's break so easily its unreal. There great stick while they last but they dont last long at all.

I have two Starskie's, both are tanks. Took a nasty two hander to the shaft two weeks after buying the first one. The only thing wrong with the stick is some paint and what looks like some sort of coating. I've used it for about a year after that and still do.

Some Starskie's are Inno 110's repainted, some are Dolomites. Just pop the end cap and look inside before you cut it. My second was a Dolomite.

I stay away from the SL for all the reasons everyone has listed above. I came to the same cross roads when I was deciding between a synergy ST and a synergy SL. My ST is still going strong for a year and a half.

Only cause of their color schemes, naming, and marketing They are nice sticks nonetheless...but think about it when they were still called Innovative, doubt many ppl woulda said Inno = sexy
