Malkin's February and Guentzel's 4 goal playoff game.
Wasn’t that last year?
I'm still pumped from the last two years before.
All of it. I'm not even s/m-ad.
First B2B champs in a long while and they had a chance at 3.
When sully decided to put Kuhn on Genos wing
I guess it was after checking youtubes.
There really wasn't much to remember from this regular season.
The start ='ed when will JR fix the bottom 6 C issue.
Acquired Sheahan and watching him play pretty good hockey then "who is JR gonna get to 3C before the deadline?".
Oleksiak trade was fun for a bit just having a big man again back there.
Then Brass came. Fun for a little bit then he went out with injury.
So yea, pretty much Sid's Bat Goals. Heh.
I can recall three moments that, even after the long lackluster regular season, made me believe the three-peat was on the cards:
1. Malkin's highlight-reel goal in game 1 vs Phi,
2. the Hornqvist-Guentzel-Crosby 3rd period outburst in game 1 vs Wsh, and
3. Guentzel dangling Orlov to set up Crosby for the go-ahead in Game 3.
Sid's baseball goals. All of them. And his negative angle goals. All of them.
Jake's mad goals and The Mad Dangle in the playoffs. He's a monster.
Geno's February, which was sheer insanity.
That brief moment of like 2-3 games where Murray wasn't swiss cheese and Crosby wasn't absolute ass.
That was a good week.
Other than all the obvious ones, one play that really stuck out in my head this year was one of Shearys goals, maybe last week's or two if the regular season, where he was forechecking hard and scored from his knees soon a bad angle shot. Was just a great all around hustle goal from someone who's (deservedly) caught a lot of flak
