What teams will medal?

A medal will of course be difficult to achieve, but not impossible. The team is deep enough to challenge the best teams in the tourney. On paper it looks really good too, although we don´t have many stars.

On the other hand, its been like that before. I remember our players born 80 had Henrik Zetterberg, Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Christian Bäckman etc... they came in fifth place... The year after our extremely weak agegroup born 81 with Niklas Kronwall, Jonas Andersson etc came in fourth place.

I think we are still producing top-talent that will be great players in the NHL, but most of the time our players are latebloomers, because of other reasons.

We'll have a better feel for the teams here after a few games.The U.S is favoured but will have to harness that talent as a team and chemistry is sometimes a difficult thing to attain,even for a team like that which has so many guys that are familiar with each other.The favourite label is also something they are not used to and kyle will have to do a good job of sheparding his team from their own expectations and getting down on themselves if things in the initial games don't go exactly as hoped.Also,they are most likely not so good that they won't have to need their goalies make a few big saves for them,do they have that guy? we'll see.it's going to be an interesting tourney,we may get a surprise or two.Sweden may be one of those surprises.
