What kind of player do you see Stephen Weiss becoming?

I'll defer to other's opinions here about Weiss eventually evolving into a Brendan Morrison.

However, just want to point out something that doesn't exactly make sense. Morrison is a productive first-line NHL center. Maybe not on a fantasy team, but he is on a genuine NHL team, a very competitive playoff team for a couple of years now. So to suggest that Weiss will become Morrison and then to say he is a future second-liner is a contradiction of sorts.

I think we sometimes are unrealistic as to what constitutes a firstline center or a #1 dman, etc. in today's NHL.

Not a big deal, but worth pointing out, because it happens all the time on these boards - you'd think there are about 5 guys worthy of 1st line status, leaguewide!

I am a canuck fan..but morrison is a 2nd line centre, they don't have a 1st line centre and morrison is the best centre they have so he fills the role and yes he gets points but it helps when your centering naslund and bertuzzi..

agreed... I think he'll be a consistent 50-65pts 2nd liner... depending on his linemates.

Keenan is just the coach for him imho... good system, good young team.

I agree with you, but Martin is the coach for the Panthers.

Weiss is deceptively fast. He moves well on the ice, hes very agile too.
