Which 3 Goalies, 8 Defencemen and 14 forwards would have been picked by Pat Cortina ? I'd like to hear your opinions as I'll write a blog post on that later this week.

I don't think the NA minor league guys (Rieder, Noebels, Kühnhackl, Abeltshauser) would have gotten a nomination, nor would Draisaitl for being too young

Rankel probably wouldnt be in there twice though Add Tripp, Hager, Yannick Seidenberg or Garret Festerling then

I also forgot Greiss in goal

I would give Rieder and maybe Draisaitl a try.
In Goal and Defense this team doesnt look to bad.

I don't see a guy that should be taken out of the roster hage posted for either those too.

I could see TJ Mulock and Flaake making the roster instead of Weiß and the second Rankel.

Thomas Greilinger never stood out on a international tournament. I take him out for Rieder.
Flaake i had on my team too.

Greilinger had a couple of standout games for the national team. I remember him scoring in a win against Russia.

For the Olympics, I'm pretty sure Cortina could have convinced Jochen Hecht to join the team.
