In a few years, who do you think will be more productive offensively?

I'm not sure he means Eric. I think he means Mark.

I am sure he means Marc. Shea Weber will outscore Staal in my opinion. I believe Weber is superior to Staal in all facets of the game. Just so all you NYR fans don'y jump all over me, I think Weber is better then Bourdon too (I am a Canuck fan).

Weber is severely underated on these board, probably because he wasn't:

    A) A High pick
    B) Played Junior in the East
    C) And was drafted by a team with a low fanbase on this website.

I think Weber compares very nicely to Dion Phaneuf, although with a little bit lower of a ceiling. Possess a great slapshot, hits well, and is good defensively. Perfect match in my opinion.

    Weber by far.

I do not belive Staal has much in the way of offensive upside at the nhl level.

    malarky.

I would be shocked if Staal doesn't win the Art Ross by his sophomore year.

    shocked.

In the 2005 WJC, Weber impressed me more then Phaneuf. I loved his physical game and defensive presence. That being said, Staal was fantastic in the WJC last year. Both will be amazing defenseman, but I would give a slight edge to Staal when it comes to offense.

  10. hmmm Staal isnt an offensive dman. Weber will probably get more points then Staal. Staal is the Ohlund/Foote type of DMAN. so yea. Not a great comparison. Its like comparing Regher to Redden for offensive numbers.
