Anyone saying a slash deserves a stick used as a deadly weapon are sadly mistaken.

• Any shot to neck, face, or head is dangerous and deadly.
• Good chance we'd all be charged with assault if we did this, wouldn't we?
• Kucherov back of neck crosscheck could've been deadly these playoffs.
• McDavid's neck crosschecks tonight could've been deadly these playoffs.
• There's plenty more examples throughout the yrs.
• Suppose NHL, and some fans will need player(s) killed, before realizing a very simplistic lesson many already know.... A slashing isn't comparable to a stick to face, head, or neck

This would require Warren getting his pulse above 60 but once the paychecks stop coming his give a damn tanks.

Those frauds swept your historically great ‘Cup or Bust’ team in the season, won the Pacific and are an overtime goal away from being up 3-0 in the playoffs. While missing their Vezina finalist goalie.
Maybe your Oilers are the frauds?
Skinner as the starter and Nurse and Ceci as a second pairing and no depth up front.
Food for thought.

Zadorov putting that POS Kane into the bench was the chef's kiss.

As for the cross check, it is what it is. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Give a two-handed slash, expect consequences. It's an emotional game.

I sometimes miss Zadorov but there was too many braindead plays when he was with the Avs. I will always remember how he laid out Tkachuk in the 2019 playoffs against the Flames in game 2. After having a 2 goals game in the 1st game he totally disappeared after that Zadorov hit.

I don't have time to go super deep into how badly I disagree with this notion or how dangerous this notion is, but let's just say, the NHL would be a much better place if for example Trouba's attempt to elbow Necas in the head had consequences.

The Canucks depleted their draft capital to construct a decent "Team" in the Dallas model.

Their management even said they would overpay for the players they want (Lindholm, Hronek, Gen Z) to construct their lineup.

The Oilers and more specifically Leafs management are paralyzed to do this.

The Sun has already set on the Leafs window and is now ebbing in Oil Country.

NJD and Buffalo are now following the same path.
