Mom’s side of my family is from the North.

Porto is a beautiful city. Absolutely charming.

Lisbon is nice too, but Porto has a certain charm to it. Portugal is a beautiful country in general and cheaper than most of the rest of western Europe (Italy, France, Spain etc).
