The Texas Stars finished the season with 97 points (43-22-5-6) and locked up the #1 spot in the Western Conference despite losing their last two games. Milwaukee finished just six points back with a 41-28-4-3 record showing how tough the West Conference was - in contrast the gap between #1 and #8 in the East was 24 points. The Stars won both the meetings between the two sides but Milwaukee are playing their two home games first so they may well get something there before they head to Texas to finish the series and having won 7 of their last 10 they'll be a tricky team to play.

Milwaukee finished with 89 points, not 91. Milwaukee lost both regular season games to Texas, one in OT. The Admirals were 15-4-1 in their last 20 games. It should be an interesting series.

Milwaukee won Game 2 by 2-0 score. The Admirals had an ENG in the last minute. Mike Liambas and Brad Winchester were both knocked out of the game. In Liambas' case, it was a literal KO via the much larger Luke Gadzic. We will see if either one or both get suspended related to the fight. It was ugly.

I think the Admirals played about as good as they could in this series. They scored 5 goals to the 7 for Texas. There were 5 goals in the first game, so they were fairly close games.

Congrats to the Texas Stars and their fans!
