This is ridiculous. Canada is three or four classes better than Denmark, but maybe their youth is showing?

Might have something to due with the fact they have 15 skaters :dunno:

Imo, that should be easily negated by the severe lack of quality depth on the Danish team.

Worried about Jesper Damgaard, who left for the hospital during the 1st intermission, though. He's very important for this team, leading up to the Norway game on Tuesday (which will ultimately decide whether we stay up for next year, imo).

Denmark didn't seem to into it in the first, they've got a load of energy now. Great to see them giving Canada a run for their money.

Question to Danes, if they won would it be news back in Denmark? or is interest in hockey there pretty confined to those who enjoy the sport?

What kind of injury?

It would be pretty decent news, I think. One of the big cable channels shows all the Danish games, with pregame shows, intermission analysis, etc. I don't know about the ratings, but this kind of tournament is perfectly suited for Danes. No expectations, just try your hardest.

Unknown... He got twisted around crashing into the boards. Probably some cracked ribs, or a concussion. Very hard to tell.

Hopefully he's OK.

Staal is Danish, Dutch? It means Stål = Steel.

Or am i wrong? :)

That's exactly right. What do they call Kalle Anka's superhero alter ego in Swedish? Stål-ankan?

Ok, wierd train of thought, but yes, it means steel. Ã… can be written as aa in Danish.

WOHOOO, 1000!
