Wow, nice goal by Vanek! Canada needs to wake up, to put it politely.

Canada even looks bad on the PP, they just got an icing. They clearly aren't focused. Lousy, lousy game.

He played even though he had lost his helmet which is illegal in international competitions.

Canada just isn't into this game and obviously went into it underestimating their opponent.

How can Canada be losing :banghead:

Must be Glen Murray's fault

Well, he did miss the far post when he had a GOLDEN chance to score. Damn Bruins.. ;) :)

2-0 Austria after 40 minutes. Team Canada should be ashamed by the way they've played so far.

Gotta give props to Austria, though. Divis has been solid.

I think the Austrians are going to hang on to win this one, it will be a wake up call for Canada and they will comeback to get a medal in the tourney.

Unbiased Canadian
P.S. I'm glad I have Vanek in my fantasy league!!

Heatley has been the worst player on the ice, someone needs to tell him to pick up his feet he's really floating. On top of that he has turned the puck over a bunch of times, especially while playing the point on the PP...... Babcock hasn't really noticed though, I'd say Heatley has probably led Canada's forwards in ice time.

Edit: But it's safe to say from a team standpoint, Canada played better in the 2nd period.

The reason Canada isn't doing well is they have too many under achieving Edmonton players. :dunno:

 IMO, it is because they underestimated Austria and I think they will become stronger throughout the tournament. Go Canada Go!

if i'm not mistaking we won this last year. i think it was the canuck players telling the rest of the team how to underestimate a shity team and lose. :)

Everytime Canada gets the puck low in the Austrian end, Austria collapses everyone on the puck and Canada is having trouble solving the high traffic all around the net.
