Maybe Homer's best ever contract?

Wayne Simmonds signed a 6 year, $23,850,000 contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Aug. 16, 2012. The contract has a cap hit of $3,975,000.

He was probably the closest to middle ground of what the Flyers organization valued in a player and what we want in a player.

He is, however, exactly what a tough guy in the NHL should look like now. Immovable in the slot and crease, pain in the ass on the forecheck, whenever it was actually needed he’d answer the bell. But most importantly he was essentially a given for 23-27 goals a year.

How was he on TSN during the deadline? He seems like he'd be pretty good at it, can't be any worse than the sideshow clown we have
He was very good on the show.
Considering it was his first big appearance you could see some nerves but he settled in nicely.
Showed a good sense of humour, was clear speaking and informative and showed some class the way he dressed and acted.
Overall a great addition and I hope he now has a sports analyst gig here for awhile as he was much better than many that came before him.
